Bhutacha Wad
This Banyan tree was right in front of our house. It was a very old tree with it's canopy covering area more than our house.
It was called Devacha Wad due to its holy importance. The people in the village worship that Wad on festivals. But due to it's looks we called it as 'Bhutacha Wad'.
In the day time the tree looked very nice with birds twitting on it, children playing under it, but in the night time it was the most horrible view with its spreading branches and creepers.
We used to play on it, swing on it, we enjoyed sitting under its cool shade, but none of us ever dared to walk nearby even in evenings.
Sumati Aaji's House
This was the place where I and my group spent those days. It is called Sumati aaji's House because it was owned by her and she was no more then. Her both son lived in mumbai and came to Vengurla only in vacations.
So it was a typical KONKANI house with oti, padavi, madi, swayampakghar n all... But we were allowed to use some only part of that house, which was more than enough.
